Home from theFrozen "North" December 25, 2007

Just returned from the "cold and snowy" north of SLC back to the sunny warmth of Hurricane, Utah. I spent four days visiting my mother, children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, etc, etc, etc, for the Christmas holidays. It was so great to see everyone and share hugs and kisses. My sister Charlotte was in town from Alabama. What a treat!

Yesterday was a snowy blizzard while I was trying to drive 30 miles from Sandy to Layton. It took me 1.5 hrs, and hour longer than it normally does. I found that I'm no longer comfortable driving in such conditions. I'm ok but those other people are NUTS! speeding along in their 4x4's.

So I came home one day earlier than I had planned because there is another storm predicted for tomorrow when I would be driving.

I spent some quality time with everyone of my children and their families. I spoke by telephone with Kennedy and Natalie in Italy at noon today. It was 8:00 pm their time. Kennedy is doing very well, learning Italian and making friends. She's just a happy little kid. Natalie is homesick and has morning sickness which both make it harder for her. Her new baby is due early August 2008. I'm hoping to be able to see her while I'm in Europe next September.

I'm back to work on Thursday. Will spend tomorrow working on my business and the Cactus Hugger.
